A. Pre-construction Site Assessment (4 Hours)
Outcome: Perform pre-construction site assessment.
Site evaluation
The contractor shall inspect the site prior to starting work to verify that all surfaces are properly prepared and graded. Upon discovery, any discrepancies shall be reported to the authorities. See city of Red Deer notes. City of Red Deer Contractor Scope Document

Dependent on the development site. A new subdivision will be stripped and then the subgrade set to allow for planned drainage. Topsoil will then be added once construction of the subgrade and any buildings has been completed.
Acreage developments will be more complicated
Site elements and conditions may include, but are not limited to:
Trees and other vegetation
Water: Surface and subsurface
Growing medium and subsoils
Fauna

Construction Site Security: The Ultimate Guide
Typical threats for a construction site. Threats that may be considered typical will vary according to the type and location of the site. The following are suggestions but each site will be individual.
Theft of plant
Theft of fuel
Theft of materials from the site
Vandalism
Arson
Breaches of security into existing buildings
Robbery or attacks on the construction workers
Reconnaissance of development to discover details of completed building
Bombs (perhaps planted for detonation after completion)
Intruders intent on committing suicide
Protesters (either related to the site activity or simply for publicity)
Whilst considering threats the risk assessment should take into account hazards.
The following hazards are typical:
Flooding, storm damage, etc
Project issues (Staff injury, Failure of supplier’s business, Finance, etc)
