Select a region in your city that may function well as a wildlife corridor - include an aerial image (Google Earth Pro) and describe in your own words what about this area would make it an asset to the wildlife in the local area.
The fact that it is a natural area is a given:
How has there been planning to maximize the value of the space for wildlife? (Dig into your municipality's webpages. Go to the slide on wildlife sanctuaries for reference).
Which animals in particular would use this space, and how? What plant species can be observed here?
Could it be improved? Look especially at intersections of roadways and green space - are there underpasses for the wildlife?
Look at the usage of the space - should there be more separation between humans/pets and wildlife to maximize the value as a corridor? What kinds of linkages or stepping stones are provided (or could be made, realistically) to maximize the value of this space for WILDLIFE? What brownfields exist that could be potentially reclaimed for animal habitat?
As your city expands (or has expanded) has due care been taken to protect this asset? What are some areas that could be threatened by expansion?
