1. International Society of Arboriculture (ISA)
Founded 1924 and headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Its mission is “through research, technology,
and education promote the professional practice of arboriculture and foster a greater worldwide
awareness of the benefits of trees.”

2. ISA Prairie Chapter
Based in Calgary, AB, this is a regional chapter of ISA. They describe themselves as “a non

5. Landscape Alberta Nursery Trades Association
Founded in 1957, Landscape Alberta represents and supports the landscape and horticulture
industry in Alberta. Its goal is to help members improve their business practices, develop
professional skills, and promote the value of healthy and well designed outdoor spaces. The
association provides training, resources, and discounts for its members, and works with
government and other industry groups to advocate for the industry’s interests. Landscape

6. Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA)

8. Tree Canada Foundation
Tree Canada is about an organization dedicated to planting and caring for trees across

businesses. The organization’s goal is to inspire Canadians to plant and protect trees to

9. Society to Prevent Dutch Elm Disease in Alberta

prevent Dutch Elm Disease across the province.
