Learning outcome: Practice cleaning tropicals in the atrium Scout for insects, record your findings, and identify biological controls Observe overall plant health and discuss as a group what could be done to improve and optimize tropical plant growth in the atrium. Practice propagating tropical plants We will spend the first half of the class doing maintenance in the Atrium, and the other half propagating Tropical plants. Interior Plant Maintenance Lab LHAP 303 Learning Outcome: Assessment and Maintenance of Interior Landscapes What type of plant maintenance was required by your group in the area of the atrium you worked in (identify the plants / the work done - if you cleaned, what tools did you use, be specific about the pruning)? What challenges did you face / decisions had to be made that you maybe weren’t sure about? (thinning vines, rearranging for texture / heights, when to regenerate…) What are you general impressions of the plants in the areas you worked in - is there enough light, is watering sufficient etc? What suggestions could you make? What insects did you discover during your scouting, on what plants (be specific so I can check)? What interventions did you take to remove it? Provide a list of the plants you propagated and methodology used:
